Fitness & Wellness Coaching in a Judgment-Free, Clothing-Optional Setting
Empowering you to feel strong, confident, and whole - inside and out.
I’m Scott.
While my professional passion is life coaching, my personal passion is health and fitness. With additional certifications in fitness coaching, as well as a longtime naturist, I created Beyond Bare Fitness & Wellness to help clients reconnect with their bodies, build sustainable routines, and feel strong in their own skin.
Whether you’re just beginning your fitness journey or returning after time away, this is a space where you can explore your physical well-being in a way that’s empowering, judgment-free, and aligned with your values. My approach blends fitness education, wellness strategy, and body-positive counseling all within a naturist-friendly, clothing-optional framework.
While my practice primarily supports men, Beyond Bare is an inclusive space that welcomes people of all genders and orientations.

More Comprehensive, Empowering, and Affordable Than Personal Training
What is Fitness & Wellness Coaching?
Unlike personal training, fitness coaching is about education, empowerment, and long-term transformation. I don’t just tell you what to do. I help you understand why it works. You’ll learn how to build exercise routines, make informed nutritional decisions, and develop sustainable habits that align with your body, goals, and lifestyle.
Wellness coaching focuses on your whole self - physical, mental, and emotional. We’ll work together to enhance your internal health in areas like stress management, sleep, motivation, and overall balance.
And we’ll do it the way nature intended… clothing optional, body positive, and totally judgment-free.
The Beyond Bare Approach
As a nudist, I know the power of authenticity and body neutrality. That’s why Beyond Bare goes beyond traditional coaching. This is about thriving at any age and body type (not chasing someone else’s ideal).
Coaching with me means:
Classic health advice that is tried, tested, and true (no gimmicks)
A deep mind-body connection
Space to explore progress, motivation, and confidence without hiding yourself
At Beyond Bare, I don’t believe in “fixing” your body. We believe in working with it - building confidence, motivation, and strength from the inside out. Our coaching is clothing-optional, consent-based, and rooted in holistic wellness principles.
This work isn’t about becoming someone else.
It’s about becoming more fully yourself.
Healthy is not a size. Sexy is not a shape.
At Beyond Bare, we believe health and attractiveness can truly come in all shapes and sizes.
Your goals don’t have to be about anyone else but you.

My personal & professional fitness background
I’ve spent my life exploring what it means to feel good in my body. Now I help others do the same.
I began my fitness journey on the wrong foot - chasing perfection, trying to fit in, and relying on shortcuts and quick fixes. None of it worked. My body hardly changed and my self-esteem only got worse.
Over time, I got serious. I deepened my study of exercise and nutrition and committed to classic, time-tested training methods. My body started to change, but my motivation was still tied to impressing others. As a gay man, no matter how much progress I made, it never felt like enough.
Everything shifted when I combined what I’d learned with the values of naturism: authenticity, simplicity, and self-acceptance. In a non-sexual nudist space, my body no longer needed to be about pleasing others. It could simply be mine. From there, my fitness journey became about strength, capability, health, and self-respect.
Now, as a certified fitness coach through The Health & Fitness Academy (led by German fitness expert Felix Harder), and with a primary background in life coaching, I bring a holistic, counseling-style approach to both fitness and wellness. In clothing-optional sessions, I help clients reconnect with their bodies, reshape their motivation, figure out routines, and build habits that last.
fitness & wellness should be liberating, not punishing.

Personal training tends to be more focused on in-person fitness instruction and requires several sessions per week.
Think of this as fitness counseling: we talk through your goals, troubleshoot your challenges, build personalized strategies, and help you develop the motivation, knowledge, and habits to carry out your plan. We won’t be doing live exercises during sessions. But if you need resources on how to do exercises, I can provide those.

This approach blends fitness education, holistic wellness, and the values of naturism: authenticity, simplicity, and self-acceptance. It’s designed for real people to find health and wholeness in their bodies (not to make people models or influencers). No shame. No toxic pressure. Just practical support and body-neutral coaching in a safe, affirming setting.
-
Not at all. Whether virtual or in-person, sessions are completely clothing-optional. Some clients feel empowered being nude during sessions while others don’t. You’re welcome exactly as you are. This is a consent-based, body-neutral space.
That said, I do gently encourage clients to explore the experience of non-sexual nudity, even just privately during coaching sessions. Many people find that undressing (literally) can help them let go of perfectionism, deepen their body awareness, and break the cycle of judgment that often comes with fitness or self-improvement. You don’t have to love your body to be present in it, but learning to not hide it can be incredibly freeing. No pressure and no performance. Just permission.
-
That’s completely normal, and it’s one of the most common reasons people seek out this kind of coaching. You don’t need to feel confident to begin. In fact, beginning is often what starts to create confidence. This is a space where you can show up exactly as you are, without judgment or pressure.
-
That’s a totally normal concern and, honestly, it happens. The body sometimes reacts without our conscious control and an occasional erection is a natural, physiological response. It doesn’t necessarily mean anything inappropriate is happening, and it’s nothing to be ashamed of.
Nudist coaching sessions are always non-sexual and grounded in professionalism and respect. If it happens for either of us (coach or client), we’ll treat it like any other body response. If you need, we can pause, reposition, or take a moment to get comfortable and focused. No judgment. No awkwardness.
And trust me… you won’t be the first. This is a safe space for real bodies and real experiences, including the ones people don’t usually talk about.
-
That’s okay! Some clients come in with a clear fitness or wellness goal while others just know they want to feel better and aren’t sure what that means or how it may look. Part of our work together is identifying what’s most meaningful for you and shaping a path that supports that.
-
Totally up to you. Some clients want to focus more on physical activity and nutrition, while others want to address sleep, stress, and mindset. Most find that the two naturally overlap, but we’ll tailor your sessions to fit your needs.
-
Yes. While this practice is inspired by the values of naturism, you don’t need to identify as a nudist to benefit from this work. If you are certain that nudism is not for you, but you would still benefit from my approach to fitness coaching, then that is absolutely okay and sessions can always be clothed.
If you are not a nudist and not interested in the nudist aspect of this practice, then please let me know up front so I know this will officially not be part of our work. If you are nudist-curious, then we can gradually explore how to integrate this into your journey at a pace that is comfortable for you. This is a coaching practice grounded in consent, curiosity, and comfort. If that resonates with you, you’re welcome here.
-
Similar to my practice, I take a different approach to costs for sessions than other coaches, and do so in a client-centered way. In order to make this work more accessible, I begin with a sliding scale model (based on your income). Then, we work together to figure out what is the most appropriate cost for you. For more information, please feel free to send me a message or book a free consult.
